Wander around Nyhavn (the New Harbour) and see the Little Mermaid Statue. Other top attractions include Rosenborg Castle, Rundetaarn (the Round Tower), the National Museum, the Royal Museum of Fine Art or Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek (another arts museum).

For Carlsberg beer, head to the Carlsberg Visitors Centre & Museum. The Ladies may prefer to stroll along Europe's longest pedestrian shopping street - Strøget.

Tivoli Amusement Park is good for all the family, as is the Guinness World Records Museum.
